Space wolves tactics?

From what I'm looking down on the bottom topics the last space wolves post is more than 2 years old and before the new codex came out so obviously outdated. Any SW player got any hints for someone starting out.

ps: someone complained bout blood claws low WS and saying they were useless, but 15 of them in a LRC with a wolf priest, is prob something nobody ever wants to get charged with.

The tactics you're looking for depend on the list you'd like to run. Wolf claws aren't bad. People complaining about their low WS are foolish. most things in the game require 4's to hit in cc. Exceptional things will require less. And even rarer things require more. The important stuff for them is still good. toughness 4, strenght 4, 3+ save. 15 comming out of a crusader with a priest is fairly scary, but not unheard of. BT have done this for a while. Just make sure they don't get tied up with something that won't tarpit for too long and have other threats and you'll be fine.

I want to foot slog cuz if feet were good enough for russ... I mean i dont mind transport(if I were to take blood claws i'd be stuffing 15 of them in a LRC like above mentioned) but running an entirely mech list just doesn't feel right to me for some reason, stupid ? maybe but making stupid stuff work is a challenge I relish

Just be sure you have enough long fangs to support your footsloggers. Lots o bodies can be an issue to deal with. If most of your units can handle anything and the rest have reach, yea you can win a few. Without long fangs though, you can easily be kitted (I think that's how you spell it).

yeah kitting is def a prob foot sloggers would face from what I can grasp. Tough honestly I dont see a reason anybody wouldnt take LF they seem to be a beauty for their points

yeah way to many dude.....i dont play sw i play sm and the blessed rhino and/or land raider .....if you do foot slog sw i really like what jspyd3rx said i like a good amount of devastators with your marines....
