2500 King Setra List

Well, was finally able to make a Setra list, now he can be used with no probs on 2500 point games.
Setra is a beast, his Tomb King incantations have unlimited range when used on Tomb Guard, Chariots and Heavy Horsemen, so thats Smite and Urgency. The rest of his incantations he casts as a High priest 3d6 power with 12 inch range. He is hard as hell to kill also.
I never used to bring an Icon Bearer cause he was a waste of a Hero slot, but now he is easy to fit and helps boost the army overal, i left him 25 points short to grab one of the new items from the book.
The 2 Tomb Guard Blocks are my anvil, deploy them 7 wide 3 deep, thats 14 killing blow attacks coming at you, twice a turn with smite.
The swarms are a must now that warmachines are no longer immune to poison, It came from below + 10 poison attacks is nasty
I wish i could fit more scorpions, but a Setra list is limited in what you can get.
Im glad i was able to field one catapult, this is my monster killer.

Hmm, i just thought of something, Setra gets a 4+ lookout sir when close to a friendly unit, then he gets his armor save that cant be modified over 4+ and then he gets his 4+ ward save....damn, he really is gonna be hard to kill.

I'd drop the icon banner and swarm for a second scorp and SSC

With the new rules - I'd go 1 large chariot formation (save on a command group)

I think Settra gets 4 horses

I'm pretty sure you only get a 4+ look-out-sir! outside of a unit when you're on foot

Setra IS the Hierophant in his army, you cant take any Liche Priests in a Setra list.

Thing is that the Scorpion woul dneed 6s to wound a warmachine, the Swarms get 10 attacks that are poisoned, the scorpion gets 4. Im keeping the chariots as units of 3 cause they are easier to move with them and i can place one on each flank to support the Tomb Guard. I'll try them both ways to see how it works out, 8th edition changed a lot on how the Tomb Kings are played.

In order to benefit from the 4+ "Look Out Sir!" there needs to be a friendly unit consisting of five or models of that character's troop type within 5".

When you attack a war machine in close combat you resolve the attacks against the crew's Weapon Skill and Toughness.

CC attacks on the warmachine go against the crews toughness. A scorp should rip them up. You just can't shoot them.

I wonder if Swarms get stomp attacks ? they are on an Ogre size base.

I looked through my bits yesterday, and i actually have enough to make like 30 heavy cavalry. Not sure if i wanna field that many though, they are still just skeletons on horses
