The Fellowship of the Ring

Post by McSheehy on Sat Oct 10, 2009 4:34 pm

While I'm still working on my various projects, I thought I'd throw up some more images of things I have already finished up.

This post will be for everything I've been working on (and of course finished) for the Fellowship of the Ring journey book/campaign.

The Fellowship (plastic)

The Nine

Rangers (used to represent the Dunedain in the earlier scenarios)

Barrow Wights

I've collected the Fellowship again as all metal models (the detail is so much better on those). So far I only have the hobbits, Gandalf, and Aragorn finished... I just want to retake the photos as the first ones I took didn't come out so well.
I also have Tom Bombadil finished and Goldberry is almost done.
The Moria goblins are partially done, thought I did finish up the cave troll (all from the Moria starter set).
I'm still working on the Balrog as well as the Uruk-hai and the Wild Wargs.
I need to finish the conversion work on the elves as well as finally getting around to sculpting the tentacles for the watcher in the water (so far its only paper clips on bases).

A new addition...

Tom Bombadil, Goldberry, and for the fun of it Radagast, the Brown:

I'm going to go back to working on finishing up the metal version of Boromir, Gimil, and Legolas. Then I'll take a photo of the whole Fellowshiponce more. After that... I'm not sure really.

The Balrog:

You know with all the stuff I own for the Fellowship campaign I can easily end up building forces for both Moria and/or Angmar. Neutral

Oh yeah. I love the Balrog model.
Even if I didn't decide to collect everything needed for the Fellowship of the Ring campaign I still would have picked up the Balrog. Its just such a damn cool model and an iconic creature from the stories.

Also Bill, I wouldn't mind trying to play War of the Ring, though I'm more interested in the skirmish for LOTR.
My biggest problem right now is that I really can't afford playing... most of the stuff I'm working on are models I bought months (and in some cases a year or more) ago.
I just figured since I've got plenty of time on my hands with no classes this semester (and even worse no job - hence the inability to afford playing) I would try and get some stuff finished for once.

Many of the things I tried finishing up were so I could sell them on ebay, but nothing has moved at all in over 3 months now (this poor economy is starting to get on my nerves). But hey, I'll keep working on things and hope that maybe I can get some of it move.

And as for an update Uruk-hai Scouts:

That stuff is sick. I love the skirmish game myself. If you want to come by Sunshine on Tuesday I'm down for either skirmish or WoTR.

Oh, and I'd be more than willing to play the fellowship...or any other LoTR campaign for that matter. I'm sure my sister would also.
