If you are going to play Warmachine what faction are you going to play?

I would like for everyone who is interested in starting this game to chime in so that way we have a wide variety of factions and not everyone is play the same faction.

Also, if you know the game somewhat tell us who you thing your warcaster is going to be.

I am thinking that maybe we can start playing in december and we can start at 500 points. It is a good start since it gives you some flexability with the composition but keeps it farely simple.

Trollbloods here, right now I've got Borka Kegslayer, but will soon have Madrak Ironhide and Hoarluck Doomshaper. Not sure who'll be my "go-to" caster at the moment.

Don't ask, it was part of a trade when I didn't know crap about the game. I still don't know which one of those goes well with the forces I have. I'll probably start with Lylyth.

I will be playing Cygnar, mostly fielding Haley. I have over 500 pts., and I can't wait for this group to get started! I have three friends, who have just started playing, one plays Cryx, one plays Khador, and the other plays Menoth.

Oh god I hate Haley at low points. Wink She is brutal at this point level.

I might play Menoth or if not too many people play Cynar I will pull out Markus Brisbane or Darius.

They both follow a very similar ruleset (movement, attacking, etc)but one is based around resource management (Warmachine) while the other is based around risk management (Hordes)

They are two games, but both are compatible and competitive with each other.

Why? I have my own, it should be up to the Hordes players to know how to play and tell the WM players what is going on. And the reverse is true, I may not understand what's going on in you WM army so I would expect you to tell me.

I have learned a long time ago that people have selective memory and it is better to know the stuff yourself so if you loose you only have yourself to blame for not knowing the rules.

Are you going to buy the books for the rules differences or so you can know the special abilities?
as far as the rules differences, the only differences concern warbeasts and warlocks as compared to WM. I'd be happy to show you.
For special abilities, sorry bro, you're on your own. I don't have the patience to type all that out. Smile
