Chaplain Dreadnaught
http://www.forgeworld.co.uk/chapdread.htm
As a Black Templar player who loves the Dread I so am going to get this one.
CHAPLAIN DREADNOUGHT ….... 140 pts
Armour
WS BS S Front Side Rear I A
4 4 6(10) 12 12 10 4 2
Unit: 1 Chaplain Dreadnought
Type: Walker
Crew: 1 Space Marine
Weapons: The Dreadnought’s left arm is always equipped with a Dreadnought close combat weapon. The Dreadnought’s right arm is equipped with twin-linked heavy bolters. The Dreadnought also has a storm bolter.
Options: The Dreadnought may take any of the following vehicle upgrades at the cost listed in the Space Marine Armoury: Extra armour, searchlight or smoke launchers.
The twin-linked heavy bolters may be upgraded to a twin-linked lascannon at +20 pts, a multi-melta at +10 pts, a plasma cannon at +10 pts, twin-linked autocannons at +5 pts or an assault cannon for free.
Elites: The Chaplain Dreadnought is an Elites choice
SPECIAL RULES
Venerable: Chaplain Dreadnoughts are always Venerable. This is in addition to any other Venerable Dreadnoughts in an army. A Venerable Dreadnought is extremely hard to kill and whenever it suffers a penetrating or glancing hit you may ask your opponent to re-roll the result on the Vehicle Damage tables. However you must accept the second result, even if it is worse! As a Venerable Dreadnought the Chaplain Dreadnought always has the Furious Assault skill.
Litany of Hate: Even as a Dreadnought the Chaplain retains his former hatred for the foes of the Emperor. On a player turn in which the Dreadnought charges into close combat it may re-roll failed rolls to hit.

Re: Chaplain Dreadnaught
True. And I wanted a third dreadnaught anyway. But I agree. Resin is a bitch and the price is like being raped.

Re: Chaplain Dreadnaught
Apparently you like being raped because you have more than a couple FW pieces.
<-- you sad after FW bends you over and calls you sally.
Personally, I like the model but I feel that the wingtips are going to break the minute I get it or during shipping. Also, I think you have to buy the arms separate and thats more money down the drain too. I have two dreads myself and I have been thinking about getting a third so I was going to get a Grey Knight dreadnought because it's beautiful. Sick model.
Also playing with these models means your opponent approves of the rules since they are non-standard GW. Small side problem attached with GW models.
Like Luis said, once youre done with it it should be hella sick.

Re: Chaplain Dreadnaught
Raped is good;) For them that is....
Anyway, I have all the dreadnaught arms to field like four at the same time but thats beside the point. I just love playing the Chaplains. Anyway The Grey Knight is sick but you can only use them if you field an all grey knight army or maybe in an APOC game otherwise I would have gotten one a long time ago. Problem is which one to get as they have two of them and the one with the INquisitorial "I" on it looks pretty cool and is cheapest as you can buy it as just the torso piece.
I digress though, so far no one has been upset with me playing the ven black templar forgeworld dread but if they where I'd totally tone him down because then I'd have more points to field.

Re: Chaplain Dreadnaught
This model looks cool although there's too much skull imagery and skulls...WAY too much in my opinion.

I'll probably be alone in my opinion, but it looks dumb. There's bones all over the place... and it's not very detailed. I have an OOP Dark Angels dreadnought that's way cooler and looking for a new owner
Re: Chaplain Dreadnaught
w/e he is still WS and BS 4... thats dumb..... Litnies of hate should extend around like 6 inches around IMHO.
