CHEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEESE !!!!!
I just read something, and the cheese factor of it is so much, that it could prob reach the moon if linedup.
Lets see if this works ( correct me if im wrong )
I have a 20 night goblin unit deployed in a straight line : GGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG
i wheel the unit one inch so it lines up like this G
G
G
G
G
and so forth, this means that the farthest gobbo just catapulted 20 inches in an arc.
Is this legal ? cause if it is ... oh man... OH MAN...i need not say nothing more.

No, the arc is measured from the outside person, not the inside, so your gobbo can't move 20...the outside most guy will move 8" (or the max you can move) and everyone else will most slightly less down to 0" for the "pivot" (or inside most) model.

this is the argument that the guy used on this thing, tell me how right he is, since i dont have the rulebook i cant compare.
"You measure from the outside corner of the front of the unit. You dont measure the model that has moved the farthest. (you might be mistaking for the rules for other movement steps like re-form)
In essence since the unit is only one model wide, you would measure the wheel from the outside corner of the one gobbo, and the rest fall in line behind it as he turns. In some circles this is called the "whip" and it is universally despised as a legal, but major failure in the RAW movement rules. Unscrupulous night goblin players can use this to whip a string of gobbos into the enemy deployment zone, launching fanatics."

Re: CHEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEESE !!!!!
This maneuver is called snaking (a move that fast calvary normally do). In this case the unit should "undulate" meaning that they move in a bent formation. Though by RAW and as it's a "ranked up unit" some will argue that the move is potentially legal, but "by the most important rule" and RAI, it's a punk move and the player employing it should be beaten appropriately. You could actually move forward, then wheel more then an inch, effectively swinging your back guy around in front of the unit, moving that last gobbo over 30", though I believe it states somewhere in the rules that no model in the unit can move further then it's maximum move...I'll have to look it up, but either way, I'd recommend not doing this in a GW run tournament, as you might be asked to leave based on poor sportsmanship.

Re: CHEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEESE !!!!!
I think the move you are referring to Luis would entail first turn to face the side. Then the left or right most goblin wheels, thereby bring the entire unit forward and unleashing the fanatics.
The very existence of flame-throwers proves that some time, somewhere, someone said to themselves, You know, I want to set those people over there on fire, but I'm just not close enough to get the job done.

Re: CHEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEESE !!!!!
IIRC, a reform allows you to reset the unit in any formation facing any direction with the musician in the center.
So I think you could legally turn a block of 30 goblins into a line facing the side the left, with 14 goblins on the left of the musician and 15 to his right (towards the enemy).
So you could gain 12 inches instead of marching 8. With the fanatic's 8 inch reach, you could be hitting an enemy 20 inches away.

Re: CHEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEESE !!!!!
you wouldn't even need to do that Matt.
You have a line of 20 Goblins. You turn left, thereby using up 1 inch. Now you have a single file of goblins 20 ranks long facing to the left. The left most Goblin now wheels 3 inches. He's the theoretical "center of the spoke" now. As he wheels, the goblins behind him have to follow suit, so the guy on the right end actually ends up like flying across the board, just like a point on the bicycle tire that that is farthest away from the center. As the line swings around, 8 inch contact is made.
Congratulations, Luis, you just sling shot some fanatics into your enemies Knights who haven't moved yet !!
