Question on Heroes:

I know they cost three times their points to purchase them, but do they still count as 3 times their points once in the army list...

Example:

Elf Prince normally costs 150 points -- I have to pay 450 to purchase him, but does he count as 450 or 150 toward the maximum value of the army banner?

e.g., When making a 2500 point list:
- I purchase Prince at 450, but still get 2350 points toward the army, provided I started the season with 2800 points to account for his additional initial cost
- I purchase Prince at 450, and only get 2050 points toward the army, even though I started the season with 2800 points, which would have taken into account his additional costs.

I guess what I'm saying is: are the "extra points" to purchase your hero a one time (at time of purchase) cost, or are they a continuing "penalty" for that army banner for the remainder of the campaign. If this is already covered in the rules packet, please forgive me, I just didn't have it in front of me when I was thinking of this question.

I took it as just cost to buy - still only counts as 150 to the banner

Heros COST 3x to buy, but they are not worth 3x the points when it comes to your army list. That would be ludicrous.
